Below are some great ideas to change up the traditional ceremony set-up into something that your guests will love and remember for years to come. Proposing to your girlfriend is not always an easy thing to do, there are always so many expectations about how, when and where you should propose. After all, the first thing everyone will say to your new fiance after she tells them she is engaged is “CONGRATULATIONS! How did he ask you?”

Below are a few ideas to help you come up with the perfect way to propose:

1) KEEP IT TO YOURSELF: I know that it is exciting and you want to tell your best friend all about it, but the best way to make sure your future fiance does not find out is to keep it to yourself as much as possible. Nothing ruins a perfect proposal more than the surprise factor.

2) THE RING: When you go to get the ring, make sure it is something that she will fall in love with at first sight. Take her style into consideration and think about what she normally tends to lean towards. Is she more traditional and old-fashioned, if so go for the round cut stone. 4) THE ACTUAL PROPOSAL: Make sure that you have a speech of some sort planned, the last thing your future fiance wants is a generic “will you marry me” and that’s it. professional wedding planner:

1) PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS: A professional wedding planner has contacts within the industry with vendors and venues and anything you may need so it will save you time and money when hiring all of the wedding professionals needed to pull off an AMAZING wedding. Not to mention, they will know which vendors can and can’t be trusted, and which ones are the best fit for you, your budget, and your vision of your wedding day.

2) TIMELINE OF EVENTS: A professional wedding planner will make a DETAILED timeline for you and all of your vendors so on the day-of everyone is on the same schedule. The DJ will know exactly what song he is playing right after the garter toss, the florist will know when and where she will be able to set the centerpieces, the photographer will know at exactly what moment he needs to be in the center of the dance floor to catch the grand entrance and the first dance. 7) MULTI-TASKING: A wedding planner is born to multi-task and is a master at it. On the day-of they are the main point of contact for EVERY SINGLE vendor and are being asked a million questions from EVERY SINGLE vendor.
